Technicraft

For several weeks each wednesday room 8 have been going to Technicraft at Edgewater college to learn to sew and make wallets. As we entered the doors of the sewing room a feeling of excitement rushed through me. Mrs Scott welcomed us into the room with a warm smile. Then we had to complete the first ,second and third tasks of uncovering the Bernina sewing machine and greeting it, collecting the equipment and threading the machine.
Mrs Scott handed everyone a piece of coloured felt to make our wallets with. The room started to become noisy with the sound of drilling. After 15 to 20 minutes most of the class had finished stitching their wallets. Then we moved to the next room to hammer on the domes.

The Amazing Siderman

The Holidays
During the holidays my friend Catherine and I went to the movies to see the Amazing Spider Man. Before the movie started we bought our ticket, popcorn and coca cola, next we sat down on the strawberry red leather seats.

Then we went into the extreme screen and made our way up to la Premier. The lights started to dim slowly, without delay the movie started and continued for what seemed like days.

Later we walked out of the theatre and started to chat about the movie and sitting where we sat, then we left Hoyts with smiles on our faces. When we got home I turned the door knob slowly and stepped inside through the doorway. “we’re home I called as we stepped further inside, Catherine and I sat down and munched up our lunch.

Further into the day Catherine, my Mum and I went to the Bowling alley and came back home around 6:30 pm and ate hot chips for dinner. When the chips had finally disappeared I got A DVD out and gently put it into the DVD player. Catherine and I sat on the floor playing with fake slime while watching the movie. After at least 180 minutes of comedy on the TV screen we headed off to bed turning off  the lights behind us. Hopping into bed and tugging the sheets up to our necks we fell asleep and drifted off to dreamland.

Why is swimming essential?

.

Swimming is essential because if no one knew how to swim and someone went for a dip in the sea there are 7 out of 10 chances that that person is going to drown. But if people knew how to swim there would be at least 1 out of 7 chances of drowning. If people knew how to swim they could possibly survive a rip and use the signal for help. It is important for people to know how to swim  swimming can be a lot of  fun but it can also be dangerous if you're not careful. swimming will also help you keep your energy up if you continue to swim a lot.  And swimming is good physical exercise!
