NZ Flag

This is the New Zealand flag it contains the colours red, blue and white. It also contains the Union Jack and four red stars outlined with white The stars represent the Southern Cross.
The Union Jack represents the historical connection with Britain, the southern cross represents the location of New Zealand. The background is blue as a symbol of the seas and skies of New Zealand. In 1834 Maori chiefs joined in Waitangi to choose the first official New Zealand flag. The flag they chose was made a red St George’s cross and four stars showing the southern cross. In 1840, at  the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi (an agreement between Maori chiefs and the British Crown, covering issues of sovereignty, possession and rights of citizenship), the United Tribes Flag of New Zealand was replaced by the Union Jack as the official New Zealand flag.

8 Legged freaks

A news reporters’ eyes widened as he looked into the eyes of what he thought was a giant spider. As the 8 legged beast stared into the news reporters eyes he caught a glimpse of what was about to be the end of his life, in that same moment the hairy spider swiftly lifted  two of it’s hairy arms up and plunged them back down gripping tightly the sides of the news reporter. Using two more bony arms it started weaving a tight web around the news reporter, in less than ten seconds the news reporter was tightly wrapped in a sack made from the spiders web.

As the crowd watched the horrifying event they were all screaming while at the same time running down the street to the underground science lab just a few blocks away knowing that this life threatening creature had to be dealt with. When the lab was in sight the people started running even faster, chasing after them the giant spider came  thudding down the road. The crowd crashed into the giant elevator taking them through the underground tunnel down to the underground lab. Racing to the Entomology lab knowing that not all of them could fit in the lab letting one of the more calm people through past the crowd to the electric lab doors . The lab doors were noise proof, as the traumatized crowd watched the calm mans lip movement they saw the Entomology scientist walking closer to the door. As he walked closer to the door a little girl yelled make some space in the hall.

The doors buzzed open letting the scientist through, he was holding a vial, it contained a purple liquid inside it. The scientist said that the liquid can burn and blind the spider. and it would be enough to wound the spider until they can kill it. The underground lab was at least 200 Kilometers under the ground. Every one ran into the elevator and headed up to the top. Their it was the spider was waiting for everyone to come back up, it was hungry. The man threw the vial of purple liquid at the spider and watched as it burnt through it’s skin and the gasses blinded the spider. One of the people in the crowd threw a pocket knife at the spider and the rest of the crowd followed throwing anything sharp at the spider. The spiders legs buckled falling to the ground the beast was dead.

This image represents how photosynthesis works. Photosynthesis is the process that plants use to absorb energy from the sun and use it to produce energy. In the form of sugar and that is used for the plants to grow.

drawn and copied to create a bigger shape. The shapes are copied again and again so
that they fit inside each other.
